Eye care professionals specialize in understanding how the human eye really works, as well as diseases and conditions that affect your vision – many of which do not have obvious symptoms. Eye doctors know how age and risk factors affect vision over time for young and old, and they understand the benefits and features of corrective lenses including eyeglasses and contacts.
Our optometrists take the time to explain the results of your eye exam, describe your options and listen to your eye care needs. Because maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership, we encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital to monitoring, diagnosing and treating potential vision problems.
Meet our doctors:
Sara Niyati-Haddadan, O.D. is a UCD alumnus. She graduated in 1998 with a major in Biology and a minor in Spanish. In fact she grew up mostly in Davis where she also attended junior high and high school.
After her undergraduate career at UC Davis she pursued optometry school at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, OR, west of Portland. After working for some time after graduation at a private practice and various corporate settings, she decided to pursue her lifelong dream of a joint private practice with her sister at Angel Eye Care and Family Optometry.
When she is not at work, Dr. Sara enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 sons, Rahmon age 5 and Armon, age 2.
Laila Niyati, O.D. is also a UCD alumnus. She graduated in 2003 with a double major in biology and music. She also grew up in Davis where she attended elementary, junior high and high school.
She received her doctor of optometry from Southern California College of Optometry with honors and subsequently joined Angel Eye Care & Family Optometry. Dr. Laila remains dedicated to providing quality eye care to all her patients. Further, as the office administrator she makes sure that all staff and clinic patients are happy.
Dr. Laila has participated in various charity eye missions. Her last mission was to El Salvador where she provided eye care to hundreds of underprivileged individuals.
When not at work, Dr. Laila enjoys working out, spending time with her family, husband and 1 year-old daughter Ayla.
